| I am back in the States for a while now - mainly using Facebook. |

| Hey guys. I was in the U.S. for about 5 weeks. Now I'm heading back to China. I'm planning for this to be my last year there for a while. I'll probably find a job in the States next year and start saving money to go back to school, but may stay in China until after the Olympics in August. It's just too good an opportunity to miss :)
The weeks and days spun out in a harried stumble and once again I am holding my breath
before the plunge
Kansas is fading as Oz clouds the road ahead There is reaching, comforting warmth and deep pinprick spark of impish glee Face hidden in my hands before the sun bursts Oz is no longer the unknown Oz is Home. |

| Hey friends!
This has been the longest year in China ever.
I'm with my parents and Daniel in southern China right now. It's been raining for days, and we've all had bouts with illness, but it's great being together again. I love how quickly you can pick up with people you truly love and enjoy being with :) Dan and I are playing lots of DOS games. (Check out www.dosgames.com - my wildest middle school dreams come true)
We'll be passing back through Beijing and heading home on the 16th. It'll be my first summer living with the folks since moving to China. Guess we'll all have to improvise.
Can't wait to see everybody again :) |

| Goodbye U.S.A... it was fun being back in you for a few weeks. Goodbye friends, it was great seeing and getting to talk to you again! God bless. I'll be posting on Beijingbriefs from now on. My flight leaves in 10 hours... :) |

| Matt and Betsy are married now, and have taken off for Washington D.C. The wedding was relaxed and fun (at least for me) and short. The reception was a blast - we brought back the midget dance :) Said goodbye to Athan and Ashley around midnight, they're going up north to camp for a few days. Next summer they'll be in New Mexico - I really hope I get to see them somehow.
Though fun, the whole week was pretty exhausting... I slept in until 10:30am this morning, then took a 4 hour nap in the afternoon.
All that's left is spending time with friends and family, and packing, and I'm back to China for ten and half months... ...but for the people I leave behind, that prospect would be pure joy.
It is still pretty exciting :) |
